Born in Guyana, Joseph immigrated to Canada at a young age in December 1991. Founder of Math Thru Music, he has well over a decade of experience creating and implementing youth engagement strategies. Through his strong leadership skills, tens of thousands of young people have been positively affected. He has initiated high-level partnerships with police services, community partners, school boards and large corporations.
Joseph has hands-on experience with program creation, facilitation and administration. His innovation and dedication has been highly sought after and complete with accolades such as a 2016 Inspirational Award, 2017 Top 40 Under 40 Leadership Award and most recently a 2020 Business Excellence Award.
Mr. Khargie is a doer and has a passion for helping young people find their purpose.
SUNEIL MATTHEW BABOOLAL
Suneil was born in Toronto. While growing up in Brampton, he consistently volunteered his time and energy towards his community where he found his passion for helping, inspiring and motivating others. His fondness for DJ’ing was found as a participant, for over 3 years in the Math Thru Music program. During these years is also where his passion and skills were further developed and led him to acquiring the opportunity to work with the MTM organization. He is responsible for many of MTM’s successful events as he develops and manages them.
Suneil is currently in his fourth year studying psychology at the University of Guelph-Humber and always uses his knowledge and talents to fuel his goals of making a positive impact; in efforts to make the world a better place for everyone.
Zarina was introduced to Math Thru Music as a student where she first signed up for the after school program. She consistently attended the MTM program at her high school and while keeping her strong positive energy, Zarina transitioned to mentoring other students. Her love of music and community engagement led her to become a part of the team.
She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Humber College.
Joshua is a creator, performer and passionate admirer of all things music. His introduction to the art began as a young boy observing his father play and create music. His curiosity inspired him to learn and master a plethora of musical instruments including the piano, guitar and drums.
As a high school freshman, Joshua was introduced to the Math Thru Music Program where his passion for his craft was further ignited by a newfound fascination with DJ-ing.
Alongside his musical journey, Joshua continues to build his career in diesel mechanics as a Red Seal Certified Licensed Technician.
Director of Distribution
Chester has over 20 years of experience in the DJ world. As an industry professional and consultant, he has brought his world-class expertise to the Math Thru Music program and the Create organization as a whole.
He is the Founder and President of DJ Depot, an American and Canadian distributor of professional audio, lighting and DJ equipment. Chester currently shares his time between Orlando and Toronto and is highly sought after on both sides of the border. His role has been instrumental in both creating and organizing the distribution of equipment; particularly for the MTM program.
PETER KARL YOUNGREN
Chief Operations Officer
Peter has spent over two decades working in the not-for-profit space; specifically with educational institutions. He started his career at nineteen in a refugee camp in Rwanda in 1994. It was here that he saw first-hand how powerful charitable work can be in transforming even the most horrific circumstances.
Since then Peter has founded two large-scale charities; working in over 500 schools across fifty-five school boards. He has worked with all levels of government to implement unique, educational programming for young people.
To date, over 125,000 students have participated in programming designed by Peter and his team.
Kendrick R. Tilghman

Kendrick R. Tilghman is a Baltimore entrepreneur, DJ, educator, outreach specialist, and top Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) advocate. His company educates and empowers communities to play more active roles in S.T.E.M. related curricula and fields. He believes this foundation will create greater opportunities in advanced education training and contribute to a more diverse workforce.
His company’s primary initiative, B.E. M.O.R.E. S.T.E.M. (Bringing Everyone More Opportunities and Relevant Experiences in S.T.E.M) is a National network that engages and excites communities about S.T.E.M. careers. B.E. M.O.R.E. S.T.E.M is founded on the belief that increasing creative thinking in students’ leads to increased academic performance.
Mr. Tilghman has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering, & Masters of Business Administration.
