JOSEPH KHARGIE

President

Born in Guyana, Joseph immigrated to Canada at a young age in December 1991. Founder of Math Thru Music, he has well over a decade of experience creating and implementing youth engagement strategies. Through his strong leadership skills, tens of thousands of young people have been positively affected. He has initiated high-level partnerships with police services, community partners, school boards and large corporations.

Joseph has hands-on experience with program creation, facilitation and administration. His innovation and dedication has been highly sought after and complete with accolades such as a 2016 Inspirational Award, 2017 Top 40 Under 40 Leadership Award and most recently a 2020 Business Excellence Award.

Mr. Khargie is a doer and has a passion for helping young people find their purpose.


SUNEIL MATTHEW BABOOLAL

Vice-President

Growing up, Suneil Baboolal consistently volunteered his time and energy to the Greater Toronto Area where he found a passion for helping, inspiring and motivating others. His passion and strengths were further developed as a participant in the Math Thru Music (MTM) program for over three years. It was this experience with the program coupled with his skillset that led to the opportunity to work with the MTM organization. Suneil is responsible for many of MTM’s successful events as he develops and manages them.

Suneil holds a Bachelor’s Degree (BASc) in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a Certificate in Organizational Behaviour from Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. Currently, he is working towards a Masters of Arts in Child Study & Education at the University of Toronto.

It is through the combination of his studies and experience that Suneil makes lasting impact in his communities.


CHESTER BRYAN

Director of Distribution

Chester has over 20 years of experience in the DJ world. As an industry professional and consultant, he has brought his world-class expertise to the Math Thru Music program and the Create organization as a whole.

He is the Founder and President of DJ Depot, an American and Canadian distributor of professional audio, lighting and DJ equipment. Chester currently shares his time between Orlando and Toronto and is highly sought after on both sides of the border. His role has been instrumental in both creating and organizing the distribution of equipment; particularly for the MTM program.


PETER KARL YOUNGREN

Chief Operations Officer

Peter has spent over two decades working in the not-for-profit space; specifically with educational institutions. He started his career at nineteen in a refugee camp in Rwanda in 1994. It was here that he saw first-hand how powerful charitable work can be in transforming even the most horrific circumstances.

Since then Peter has founded two large-scale charities; working in over 500 schools across fifty-five school boards. He has worked with all levels of government to implement unique, educational programming for young people.

To date, over 125,000 students have participated in programming designed by Peter and his team.


Kendrick R. Tilghman

Northeast U.S. Representative

Kendrick R. Tilghman is a Baltimore entrepreneur, DJ, educator, outreach specialist, and top Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) advocate. His company educates and empowers communities to play more active roles in S.T.E.M. related curricula and fields. He believes this foundation will create greater opportunities in advanced education training and contribute to a more diverse workforce.    

His company’s primary initiative, B.E. M.O.R.E. S.T.E.M. (Bringing Everyone More Opportunities and Relevant Experiences in S.T.E.M) is a National network that engages and excites communities about S.T.E.M. careers. B.E. M.O.R.E. S.T.E.M is founded on the belief that increasing creative thinking in students’ leads to increased academic performance.

Mr. Tilghman has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering, & Masters of Business Administration.
