The SoundClash Kit

Build your very own bluetooth speaker! This DIY experience embraces culture while learning physics and build confidence! An in-depth look at the Jamaican SoundClash which began in the 1950’s and spread throughout the world. Students dive into the inner workings of speakers, enclosures and bluetooth technology. Finally, after all that knowledge and confidence building, the only thing left to do is customize your creation and listen to music!

The SoundClash Kit encourages students to explore the inner workings of speakers. This kit offers an in-depth understanding of the science behind sound waves and how they are interpreted by the human ear. Additionally, students will gain valuable insights into the technology that drives the speakers they use in their daily lives. Through this experience, students will also develop transferable skills that will help them understand wiring, circuit boards, batteries, and energy.
